Freshman Roadmap

It's officially your Freshman year, and we know that graduation may seem a long way off. However, it is important to start the plan for YOUR future now. There are a number of steps to take early on in your high school years that can help prepare you for the best opportunities in your future. Explore the information on this page, and get your journey off to a great start!

First Year Checklist

  • Enroll in IMPACT Program through Infinite Campus
  • Grades Matter! Your GPA sticks with you all 4 years.
  • Attend the club fair and join a club or two.
  • Start career searches. Try ASUme3.com for fun.
  • Seek out volunteer opportunities and don’t forget to log your hours.
  • Attend college visits and fairs at school.
  • Visit the College and Career Center and meet your College and Career Specialist
  • Meet with your counselor and develop your 4 year academic plan based on your goals.

School Counseling

Counselors are assigned based on the student last name and will remain with the student all four years. Appointments are required unless it is an emergency. To schedule an appointment, please contact the Counseling Assistant.

The College and Career Center is an excellent resource for all things related to college, scholarships, trade-school, military, employment and more. Working together with a School Counselor and the College and Career Center team will help to set students upon on the best pathway for success.
