Head Coach- Jason Berg 

2024-2025 will be Coach Jason Berg’s eighth season as the head coach for the Pumas.  Coach Berg came from Dobson High School where he was the head coach for eight years.  During that time, he received coach of year award for his region and city.  Prior to that, he was an assistant at Maricopa High School and Gateway Community College. He currently coaches club at Arizona Soccer Club. Coach Berg is an Arizona local, playing soccer with Tempe Pros and Cisco growing up, then attending South Mountain Community College as their starting goalkeeper.  He earned his Bachelor of Arts in History from ASU and his Post Baccalaureate in education from Rio Salado.

Coach Berg is also excited to be teaching Special Education at Perry and have the opportunity to interact with his players during the 3rd hour Soccer Locker class.  This will be his 15th year teaching.  He has two daughters, 11 and 15 years of age.  Coach Berg can be reached at berg.jason@cusd80.com.

MEN'S SOCCER TRYOUTS2025-2026:

Tryouts will be 2:30-4:30 PM November 3rd, 4th, 6th and 10th in the pit practice field west of the stadium and south of the tennis courts.
 

Please dress ready to play (shin guards, boots, and athletic wear) and also bring lots of water. No player can participate in a club or outside activity from December 1st until the end of Perry's season.  To be clear, this means no club practices, games, tournaments, or camps.  If you need clarification on this, please contact Coach Berg prior to tryouts.  

Every player will need their athletic paperwork completed before tryouts begins registermyathlete.com   

Upon making a team (cuts on Nov 10th) each player will need to pay their activity fee of $100 to the bookstore by November 17th.   

November 17th will be our soccer meeting starting in the auditorium at 6 PM, all parents are expected to be present to hear the information.
